My name is Luisa Aimoli and my student number is 10169687. I write to you today as I am appealing to late add the following course: MATH 121 (Summer, 2020) taught by Professor Ping Li, offered by Arts and Science ONLINE.
The reason I was unable to register in this course before the deadline is given the fact that I was awaiting a decision to be made on my Appeal to Register with Debt. Given extenuating circumstances in relation to my mental health, I have outstanding SOLUS fees that caused a Senate Sanction on my account. As I was only able to pursue theses appeals recently when my mental health improved, and I had to wait until my Appeal to Register with Debt was granted in order to lift the Senate Sanction off my account, I was left unable to register in MATH 121 until now. In addition, because of the same extenuating circumstances, I was not term activated at the university until May 12th 2020, which further delayed my plans.
Yesterday, May 22nd 2020, I was granted my Appeal to Register with Debt and therefore had my Senate Section lifted off my account, so that I am finally able to enrol in MATH 121 now.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: In order to plan for missed material, I got in touch with the current instructor for MATH 121, Professor Ping Li, to discuss how to catch up with the class once I was finally able to enrol in it. Professor Li sent me links to Alan Ableson's Youtube videos (videos used for MATH 121) for the material covered in both the first week of the course (Units 1 & 2), as well as the material that was going to be covered on the second week (Units 3 & 4), which is this current week. I took the time to watch the videos and prepare beforehand to enrolling in the class, so that not only am I able to follow the additional lectures from now on, but also be ready for graded assignments. In regards to material covered in the class, I am currently up to date. In regards to any missed graded activity, as based on the information about evaluation on the MATH 121 Summer 2020 website, I will have possibly missed two Weekly Concept Check-ins (total check-ins worth 5), as well as two Unit Self-Assessments (best 10 out of 12 worth 7). I will be discussing with Professor Li how to either complete these assignments late, or re-weight the remaining ones.
I have included in this appeal documentation providing proof of the extenuating circumstances that kept me away from Queen's, being term activated and leaving me unable to tackle my Senate Sanction until recently.
