Petition Letter: Hello, Appeal Office of Arts & Science,
My name is Lucia Park (10059401) and I graduated in 2019. I decided to take MATH 121 as a continuing degree student this summer. However, due to mental health issues, it has made it difficult for me to continue with the course. I have tried my best (average test score is 78) but I understand that I will not be able to upkeep the stress and pressure on my mental health. My anxiety and depression have seriously affected my academic performance and going forward, I know it will impact me further. For instance, my depression has dropped my concentration and my ability to understand new information. My anxiety makes it difficult for me to start on my work and pushes me to become avoidant. I am currently attempting to pursue help from a health-care professional but I was not able to see my GP due to COVID-19 (his office is closed.) Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Best regards,
Lucia Park
