RE: REQUEST TO ADD COURSES AFTER THE ACADEMIC DEADLINE - 0378 3963
I would like to appeal to add courses after the academic deadline. I voluntarily withdrew from Queen's University due to extenuating family circumstances that required my return to my home country of Kenya. I opted to take care of my ailing father who before his passing in 2012, suffered from a heart disease.
My return to Queen's is therefore based on my desire not only to complete my studies, but to do so with excellence. My previous academic record has not always been up to per with the standards expected from a Queen's University student, but the time away has inspired me to return so as to complete a degree I started some years back.
My late course enrollment was due to the fact that the Canadian Embassy in Kenya granted my visa late, which only left me with 5 days to purchase my ticket and finalize on several issues back home before my departure on the 18th of January, 2015. I would therefore like to ease back into my studies by taking 3 curses, which will also give me the opportunity to access my capabilities after being away from an academic environment for several years.
Kindly consider my request to add these courses and advice on the way forward.

RE: ACADEMIC PLAN TO COMPLETE MY STUDUES
In line with my plan to pursue and complete my degree here at Queen's I have set out a long term plan based on the course requirements for the BAH in Geography. I will therefore be retaking some of my courses which will see my average go up and improve on my average grade.
I will also work closely with the Academic Advisors in the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure I am on the right path. I will start off with the 3 indicated courses and proceed to increase the number of courses so that I am on track to graduate by 2016.
I am sure I will be more focused and determined to follow through with my study plan.
