Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,

I am writing this to appeal the deadline on the last day to add fall term classes. I understand that joining a semester in week three of the term is not considered a good academic decision however, I know I am very capable of using my own time to catch up and make sure I am not behind in any way. I have been on a waitlist for ECON351 since the summer and wanted to take it because I am going on exchange in the winter semester and am not sure if the school I go to will offer a similar course. I have sent multiple emails to the economics department since mid-August and never heard back, I understand the volume of emails they are receiving at the moment so I reached out to the professor of the class but still, no luck. If I had not spent the last month trying to enroll in a necessary course I would have had time to enroll in a fifth class. I understand if there is nothing that can be done and that I can not enroll in a full class, so I would like to know if I could have this appeal granted to instead take ECON354 as I am only one day past the deadline to enroll.
