Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I would like to add COMM 211 after the deadline. I was put on the waiting list during enrollment for COMM 211. On the last day of adding courses I was number 1 on the waitlist and was told by the office that I would get in. All my other waitlist courses had also been approved that day, which led me to believe I would not have an issue with COMM 211. There was also another COMM 211 class that was open, however it overlapped with my other courses so I could not get into that one. I need this course as part of my degree plan, as an Economics major. I am a little behind in my degree, and was unable to enroll in a lot of the economics courses since my enrollment time was 3pm and most of them were closed. Therefore, being able to take COMM 211 this semester would be of great advantage to me.
