Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello there,

I'm writing to request an extension of Incomplete grade of the LING 250 course I took in the last fall term.

I was supposed to finish all the outstanding assignments (four essays in particular) in this summer (based on our past communication with Dr Shulist) but for the same reason I late-dropped a summer course, I didn't manage to pick up where I left. Due to some special circumstances amid the pandemic, I have to move out of school residence and find myself another place to live in and also unsure of whether I should defer my next semester or not. I was getting extremely occupied so I didn't reach out to Dr Shulist about my problem either.

The main reason is that I had a major dental surgery around July in the summer and was having a lot of problem with the recovery. It significantly reduces my ability to concentrate and follow a certain time schedule for weeks because it took longer than expected to heal the wounds and I was busy talking to the doctor and dealing with my pain.

If I am granted the chance to continue my work of four assignments on LING 250, I will be done by November to complete all the outstanding assignments and submit them by email.
