Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Dr Stephenson,
I am appealing to put P¿¿s on my winter term transcript for classes EMPR 110 and SOCY 122.
In the winter term, I experienced unforeseen personal events beyond my control which have directly affected my academic performance. I had an unpleasant consent issue with a classmate which really effected my mental well-being and deterred me from going to classes in which I would have to see him. I had struggled with the event over the duration of the winter term, it affected my eating, self-care/esteem, sleeping habits and also put in into a state of fear when the possibility of seeing him arose. Thus, is why I did not attend many lectures for EMPR and tutorials for SOCY in the winter seasons consequently my marks suffered. I have had meetings with Ms Lotan who has helped me tremendously with coping strategies and recommended I make this appeal.
In the future, I hope to apply to Queens consecutive education program in hopes of becoming a Kindergarten teacher. It would be nice to be able to have Ps in those courses so my GPA would be more representative of me when applying.
Sincerely,
Charlotte Gibson
