Petition Letter: HI,
I would like to drop ECON 240 from my fall 2020 semester du to extenuating circumstances. I a currently residing in Beirut Lebanon where the Beirut explosion unfortunately occurred in early August. Our home was close to the explosion and got affected really badly, we still have not been able to move back into our home as it is still unlivable. We have been forced to stay with my grandparents as we are continuously fixing all the damages. My family and I have been working with-no outside help since August because of the COVID and economics situation going on. I have had to diverge a-lot of my time into fixing the damages in our home. This has taken a hit on my academic as I am taking a full course load as well. I kindly request you to consider this appeal as I would not like a problem that has been out of my control affect my overall performance academically this semester.
