Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I've been consulting my academic requirements I need to graduate after this upcoming Winter semester. Earlier this year, I had to drop BCHM 310 in February after fully completing the Fall semester, due to mental health reasons following a change in my medication management for bipolar disorder. Due to the adjustment period during the two months following my treatment changes, I was unable to spend the adequate time needed to successfully complete 5 courses in the Winter semester as a result of severe and consistent mood oscillations including both depressive and hypomanic symptoms.
I was wondering if I would still be eligible to receive credit for the first half of the course, but as 3.0 credits for BCHM 315 as opposed to part of the 9.0 from 310. It is my understanding that 315 had the exact same assessments as we were all together in lecture, minus the lab component that I do not expect to receive credit for considering I did not finish both semesters.
My mood is much more stable, and I continue to consult my psychiatrist, Dr. Rosenblatt, concerning further adjustments to my treatment plan. I will attach a letter from my psychiatrist concerning changes in my medication management from the beginning of March, just in case
