Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Respected Professor
One of the officials reached out to me as I was not able to submit my assignments and quizzes so I explained my situation to them as I am to you now. These past few months have been nothing less than a nightmare for me. We suffered a tragedy in the family which totally destroyed the dynamics of the family, financially. We had to move between remote places like Bihar during which i got sick. I was on 3 weeks bed rest and prone to sickness for the next month.
During this time I had missed so much of my college work and got stuck between previous due assignments and the ones in the future. As I was away from canada and my friends in the faculty there and the horrible internet connectivity, I could not submit my assignments on time and couldnt even go through the study material because of the network problems and also lost touch with them and I fell so far behind that I couldn't catch up. I had to help my father with his errands running his business during this pandemic to help him and eventually I went into depession because my family recently suffered a tragedy and I can't even tell my parents about it as they can't handle the stress of my bad grades on top of the hefty tuition they're paying. I wanted to ask for help but just didn't know who to reach out to and what to say. I know it's very late in the term and I'm not doing good in my courses this semester. Can anything be done about this I just want to drop my courses as of now to repeat it in the winter semester so that it does not appear on my transcript. I am a good student sir and you can see my previous year¿¿s gpa. These past few months I have not been able to concentrate on college sir but it is my duty as a Queen¿¿s student as a son to perform well which I know I can. I just need a fresh start to prove myself. I feel really helpless right now sir and I know I have delayed a lot to send in this appeal, which is also because of connectivity issues here but sir it would be great if you could let me drop my courses this term without academic or financial penalty sir. Any help from you would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: After almost 4 months of hustling and patience I am finally moving back to canada sir where i would be subletting a room in a house of 4 people, 2 of who i know of. As far as an academic plan goes, sir I guarentee that once i am back in canada i will jump into my mentality making university my only priority and I will make up for this term that i lost by retaking these courses in the Winter Semester taking extra courses in the coming summers and semesters. Sir I have faith in myself and I am a good student, I just was not in the right place for a while as I have explained earlier but now I am more than ready to get back in the Winter Semester and get on the Dean's List. All I need is this new start.
