To whom it may concern:
I am appealing to late-drop my 2 courses this fall semester: LAW 201 and ECON 112.
I plan to take these exact same courses next semester or soon after, albeit with a fresh start. The reason why I need this appeal to drop these classes is due to medical reasons, both physical and mental health related, as well as the resulting time spent dealing with said issues.
I started my September courses late as a result of previous appeal. I was waiting to hear the outcome so I registered late. Starting off behind was overwhelming and stressful and I wasn¿¿t able to catch up.. At the same time dealing with originally four courses, without necessary accommodations, proved difficult. The accommodations required documentation that took my concussion doctor a long time to provide.
I am still dealing with the same issues from last semester and trying to get solutions in place
I have new issues this fall ( (heart palpitations accompanied by brain fog, and later chest pain,)
which I worried was connected to Covid which I contracted just after I returned to Toronto in spring 2020.
This fall, after Thanksgiving, I moved back to Toronto for frequent doctors appointments. These took longer than I expected. I have only just now managed to get wheels rolling with a therapist; my psychologist who advises about medication (the medication which was a big part of my issues last semester) isn¿¿t available until January and the Cardiologist process took more than a month. I have been told to avoid high stress.
I plan to enroll in the same courses next semester, and I just need a fresh start and some stability, having had far too much to worry about this semester.
Thank you for considering this late drop of two courses. If you could get back to me as soon as possible I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Justin McDonald
