Petition Letter: There were mulitple stressors this semester including, the shift to online learning, COVID restrictions in general, and a back injury resulting in a period of chronic pain. These stressors contributed to a resurgence of ongoing mental health difficulties (generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder). As a result, I experienced intese troubles being able to concentrate, focus, rememeber, complete online lectures and complete academic requirements. As the semester progressed the urgency to complete academic demands increased and further exacerbated my depression and anxiety. This all culminated in a feeling late in the term of complete paralyzation and complete inability to do any work.
