Petition Letter: My name is Ruei-Shin Tsai (20122819) and I am currently a third year Concurrent Education student at Queen's University, majoring in English Language and Literature. As a Taiwanese student studying abroad in Canada, studying remotely during the fall term came with many circumstances, especially with adjusting to the time differences. For me, to be able to continue my academic studies in a safe space during this difficult time is a great priority. Therefore, for the fall term I also enrolled in a COVID-19 program provided by National Taiwan University (an exchange partner of Queen's) as a visiting student, which allows me to study both schools simultaneously. With most classes at National Taiwan University still being taught in a traditional classroom setting, I am taking elective courses in-person at NTU and also completing my English major requirements through Queen's online learning.
