Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is Kaitlyn Howie (20070200), I am enrolled in the BAH Economics program. I took ECON250 as a prerequisite for ECON351 that I was planning on taking this semester. As per the requirements for ECON351, I required a grade of C in ECON250 to be eligible to take this class. I struggled with significant mental health issues (anxiety) that impacted my academic ability in this class, as well as others. I received a C- in ECON250, and am writing this appeal to see if I would be able to receive academic consideration to be able to take ECON351 this winter term. I was previously enrolled in nursing, and have taken statistics before and I know the material, however because of my mental health struggles this fall I was unable to perform to the best of my ability. I would really appreciate consideration for this request, as I am already behind in my program after switching from nursing to economics last year. If any further information is required I am happy to provide it, I appreciate any help in this situation.
