Petition Letter: I would love to request an appeal on the discussion forum grade of ARTH 352. There are 9 discussion forums in total and each of them worth 3 points. Other than the three discussion forums I got zero, I earned 3/3 on the other 6 forums, which means I should earn a total mark of 18 on discussion (3 times 6 equal to 18). However, on the discussion forum, it shows a total mark of 16. I clearly understand the impact of missing assignment with mark of zero. However, I do ask for a clear and correct calculation on my grade of discussion forums. Because other than the 3 discussion forums I had missed with a grade of zero, I submitted other six forums and got 3/3 on them. Thus, my grade on discussion forum should be 18 instead of 16.
I have emailed Prof.Dickey couple times, and she reply Once again, I don't think that is actually what happens in the calculation mathematically.
