Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: This is my final semester of my undergrad and I¿¿m currently enrolled in 4 courses. One of the courses is SOCY363, which I no longer want to be enrolled in. We had a quiz yesterday and I realized this course is not suitable for me and it will significantly lower my GPA if I stay in it. I just received my mark for the quiz back and I do not want to continue on in this course. In order for me to drop this course, I need to add a course in replace of it, as I need the credit to graduate. I am unable to drop it without replacing it. That is why I would like to replace it with SOCY475. I took one of Dr.Baron's course last semester and really enjoyed it. Additionally, SOCY475 interests me and that is why I'd like to be enrolled in it. I understand that this is a lot to ask but this is so important for my GPA and to graduate, I wish I had the quiz earlier to understand that SOCY363 is not for me. I recently applied to teachers college, because I plan on attending in September, so it is really important for me to add SOCY475 in replace of SOCY363, in order for me to graduate.
