Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hi My name is Joey Wang, i am a third year student currently majored in Religious Studies, I am sending this email to kindly ask if the department has the ability to reconsider my mark for my FILM217 course which I took last semester, here is my situation:
I took FILM 217 last semesters, I did well throughout, until the final paper, I thought I did well, but I have received an horrible mark on it, I looked into the feedback, my TA stated that there are missing in text citations in the paper, so the TA considered my work as plagiarism, I have received an horrible mark on this, I was really upset but i had bigger issues that i needed to take care of at that moment, which is my study permit and visa because i am an international student, weeks later, when this semester started, i checked my email and realized that my professor has emailed me in the winter break regarding how we can be able to communicate about my final paper so i can get a fairer mark out of it, but because i did not pay much mind to the school things at that moment so i did not check it on time. I emailed my professor right after I checked the email, and she said it is not up to her now and suggesting me to contact the admin apartment, this is my whole situation regarding my final paper.
I fully understand that there are in text citation that I did not put in my assignment, and i am willing to take the marks off for it, but i think it is bit unfair that my work is being considered as plagiarism and being marked as one too, all the ideas in the paper are mine, I wish that my paper and its mark can be able to reconsidered if there is a chance, I can provide my paper to whoever that need to see it, thank you so much for reading this email
