Petition Letter
Petition Letter: My name is Deanna Djanashvili, my student ID is: 20225335. I am asking to drop CLST 102, GNDS 125, LLCU 111, PSYC 100A, SOCY 122A classes due to my medical condition that has been going on since the beginning of October 2020.
I moved into my dorm room in September of 2020. My hopes and expectations for my 1st year of University did not go as planned. I found myself completely isolated and alone. All of my Zoom classes had been cancelled.
I was crying alone in my room for most of the days and had eventually started to feel sad, anxious, fatigue, and had a constant lack of energy. Some of the nights, I could not sleep at all. Some of the days, I was sleeping too much. I could not concentrate any longer. I could not wake up in the morning. I could not stay awake during the day.
In the month of September I was still trying to listen to some of my classes fighting my increasing exhaustion and altered level of consciousness. Unfortunately, since the beginning of October I could no longer continue attending any of my classes.
Surprisingly, no one noticed my absence and no one ever reached out to me. Mentally and emotionally, I could not reach out for help.
I left my dorm room Dec. 11, 2020 and was placed under medical care.
