Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am in my 3rd year of Political Studies. I have been advised that the sociology statistics course (SOCY 211) is better for people who are less strong in math and tech/ computer work. I was number 1 on the waitlist for a while and expected someone to drop it. However, up until the end of the add/drop period no one did, and I never got into the class. I emailed the sociology department, asking if they could put me in, and they would not. Then I emailed the politics department, asking if they could put me in the politics statistics course (POLS 385) and they said they couldn't unless I got an appeal. I would like to late add POLS 385. Alternatively, if you could get me into SOCY 211 that would be even better
