I would like to appeal to add a course after the last official date for adding classes which was January 22nd. It has been 17 days since the add date, I am hopeful I can add one last course in order to graduate in Spring 2021. This is very complicated to explain but I will try my best to describe my situation.
My first appeal this term recently granted an extension to my two IN courses from Winter 2020. Before this was granted, they were two Fails on my transcript. So I was 6.0 credits behind from graduating this Spring 2021, until they were each granted an IN today. Because I was unsure if my appeal would be granted or denied, I enrolled in an extra 300-level KINE course (thinking this would take the place of one of my then Failed credits, which is not available in the summer, then I would take two more courses in the summer to complete my degree).
This recently granted appeal has placed me exactly 3.0 credits away (instead of 6.0 credits) from graduating because I did not enroll in my last required course for this term for the above reason. I require one, 200-level Natural/Physical Science course to complete my KINE degree for Spring 2021 graduation. If I am unable to enroll in it now, I will have to take it in the May-July 2021 term, then graduate after the summer.
I strongly feel that I can take on another course, even if I am adding it five weeks into the term. I am not working, nor am I involved in extra-curriculars this term. I have also been finding the five courses I am enrolled in very manageable, with lots of free time on my hands. I am the most motivated to complete my degree for Spring 2021 graduation, as this is my fifth year of study. if I find that taking this sixth course is not manageable, I will drop the extra 300-level KINE course I am enrolled in currently before the drop deadline on March 5th.
The course I require is PSYC 221. It is available in the summer, however I strongly feel that I can, and should, complete it this term in order to graduate this Spring. I have attached my academic plan in the next step. I sincerely thank you for your consideration and look forward to your response.
