Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I recently submitted an appeal to get courses dropped and tuition waived from my attendance during the 2012-2013 period. This appeal was approved and the tuition was waived.
I have suffered from mental health and addiction issues all my life. I also attended Queens from 2004-2006, and I did not do well because I was suffering. This can be supported from the letter from my family doctor, Doctor Philp.
Iam requesting to have those grades expunged from my record. Iam now 35 years old. I live with my parents, Iam on ODSP, unmarried with no kids and essentially no friends. I have worked really hard to recover from my debilitating mental health and addiction issues to the point where I realize I have to go back to school in order to have any sort of a life.
I want to go back to school for social work so I can help people who are struggling, drawing from my own experience.
Tragically, my overall average would be too low to be accepted as a transfer student, so I am begging you to remove the following grades from my transcript: PHIL 271, PSYC 241, PHIL 293, RELS 131B, CLST 100B, PHIL 111B, CWRI 295, PHIL 261.
