Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Due to the COVID pandemic, my father's restaurant, which was my main source for tuition, has been losing money for almost a year. So the tuition for my whole year course load mainly from my parents' savings and my mother's income. It is my last year and if I want to graduate on time, I have to get two more elective courses. I do not want to give too much pressure on my parents, so I plan to do some part-time job once I finished self-quarantine in about two weeks. I also did try to apply for a general bursary but got rejected.
The institution I chose has cheaper tuition for each course compared to Queen's, and it has a more flexible schedule (no meetings or such) for a student like me not currently in Canada. And it has a shorter learning period, which is perfect for me since I need to do the part-times, graduate on time and find a job after graduation. My classmate, who is on the same level as me, offers me this option because he got 12 units transferred for the same institution, so that's why I tried. Now the money I have in my bank account is only enough for my last two cores at the beginning of the summer. For the tuition on the other institution, my friend says he could support me for this time. My study permit will be outdated at the end of this July. I already applied for an extension but it would be comparably slower nowadays. All I need is 6 more units for my elective in order to get graduated on time this summer, so please consider this.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I planned to finish the two electives on the other institution over this winter term. I send a LOP at the beginning of January, but I got a reply from them saying that I am not eligible to apply for more courses yesterday. So it totally changed my plan. It will still be better for me to catch the last month of the winter application from the institution if the appeal and the LOP process on time. But alternatively, I could have those two electives at the beginning of May, so that I could finish all my courses (including two cores from Queen's) from May to June this year in order to graduate on time later this year.
