Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I would like to appeal for credit standing for my Anatomy course Anatomy 101. My final grade achieved was 53 that equates to a D. I found the first semester more challenging than expected. I have been in residence and had some personal health issues that have been disruptive to my studies.

While the distance learning model has been challenging for everyone, it has been compounded by the fact that I have had to quarantine twice which has had significant impact on my mental health. I have also been due learning accommodations that I was unable to access during this course. I was finally able to receive confirmation of these accommodations in January which include extended time for examinations. I feel that had these in place at the beginning of the year I would have had more success in the course.
