Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Dr. Stephenson,
I am currently taking two first year courses. I am appealing to drop my History 106 (Winter, 2021) course and my History 105 (Winter 2021) course.
The reason for this is because I was very ill over the past month and I spent March 7th through the 12th in Humber River Regional Hospital in Toronto with a partial lung collapse as a result of untreated asthma complicated with pneumonia in both lungs. (I can provide the Hospital Discharge report if required.) I was informed by my Doctor to have bed rest for the next week or two. As a result of this illness I am behind in lectures, assignments and papers and feel that in no way would I be able to catch up successfully.
I will reassess my health over the next month or two prior to committing to courses in the fall.
Thank you for your consideration.
Kind regards,
Charlie Taaffe
