Petition Letter: Hello,
My name is Yachen Shen and I am requesting a CR in STAT 263 (Fall).
I started experiencing some difficulties with all 5 of my courses in November due to stress and possibly falling into a mental illness. I struggled a lot with studying for the final exam in this course.
I had done well at the beginning of the semester which lead to average final marks in the remaining 4 of my courses, even though I did not do very well in the last few tests and final exams. Because STAT 263 heavily relies on the grade of the final exam unlike the other courses, the work I had done at the start was not very significant towards improving the final grade and this course took the hardest hit.
Also, I have been seeing a health counsellor on a weekly basis and can provide a doctor's note for this case as soon as possible.
