Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello to whom it may concern,

I am creating this appeal to have the econ grade on my transcript changed because I feel that throughout this year my grades have been impacted heavily by extraneous circumstances, especially in the Fall term.

Usually, I am a dedicated, persistent, and hard worker. Throughout this year COVID-19 has impacted my capacity to work like nothing else I've ever experienced. I have never felt so down and de-energized as I have felt throughout this year. I was also placed in a very isolated room in residence which did not help my mentality (I will supply a doctor's note I used to switch residences later to confirm this.

As a result of this, I feel like my econ mark is nowhere near as good as it could have been had I been in a better place mentally. I am in the midst of a transfer to another university, this university requires a view of my transcript. This is why I ask this of you now, every grade I have right now counted.

Please consider my request, I assure you my econ grades do not reflect my work ethic, dedication, or my commitment to being a scholar, only the impacts of poor mental health. I will do better in this course and will have a better winter mark, I just do not want my GPA to be topped because of this.
