Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,

I¿¿ve tried throughout the years to keep my head low and keep pushing even when I felt that an injustice has been done. The fear of coming to the appeal board has stopped me in the passed from seeking any support from the faculty as I never felt my cases were strong enough. I finally grew up some courage and strength to do so with this assignment because I felt that the grading across the board was unfair. The assignment instruction and the feedback given were too broad to merit any sort of satisfaction or explanation for the grade given. If more instruction and guidance were given as to what was expected of the assignment rather than offering a broad instruction and marking for specificity then I wouldn¿¿t have to contest the grade. Now, I¿¿ve been made aware that instructors do not have to offer a rubric or additional guidance but after meeting with the professor I felt that the reasoning for the substantial loss of marks I easily discredited but they did not listen or agree. Hence why I have come to the board for an appeal. I hope that this not only provides clarification for myself but helps other students who may be in my situation.

Best,
Joseph Oladimeji
