Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am requesting a late drop on all my courses for this term. I know this is drastic action not to be taken lightly but I had significant struggles this semester I believe qualify me for a late drop.
In 2017, I developed bulimia nervosa. I worked extremely hard on recovery and thought I had fully recovered from this serious illness. Unfortunately, I had my worst relapse ever starting in December of this year. Towards the beginning of the term I was able to work on school, but as I progressively became worse I started wholly neglecting schoolwork. Bulimia is a all-consuming illness and it quickly became the only thing I was capable of doing or thinking about.
I have started seeing a counselor again as of April and am working my hardest to recover again. I know I can do better and I want the opportunity to prove myself as a great student, as I know I am, without the stain of a failed semester on my record. I hope you give me this opportunity to fix my mistakes. Thank you.
