Petition Letter: Dear my associated dean:

I am writing this appeal letter with the hope to get the permission of dropping HIST242 and ECON421 I took in Winter term 2021 without penalty.

I am making this appeal because that I experienced the bereavement of my family member around March 4th, that takes me more than one week to stay in wake according to Chinese traditions and to help dealing with the following issues. For this time period, I have submitted the request of academic consideration and have get approved(to March 18th). However, I was then detected for the related high level depression and mid-level anxiety. Under this kind of circumstance, I again missed almost everything of my courses from mid-March.

Thankfully my instructors stood with me and gave me love and support, however, for these
two course I mentioned in this letter, for the reason of course design and structure, the instructors won't be able to let me take the incomplete grades and complete the course work at later stage, so they suggested me to think about withdrawing the course. Considering their suggestions and the fact that I missed most part of these courses, I choose to make this appeal.

For the supporting documentation, I have the death certification and my medical report with their auto-translated version for your understanding.
