Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am writing to request that CHEM223 from Winter 2021 be dropped from my transcript at Queen¿¿s University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all of my classes (as you know) were moved to an online medium. For some courses, this is a near undetectable change, however, for advanced organic chemistry this is not the case. The stress of the pandemic combined with the augmented learning/teaching style was very detrimental to my studies in this class and I do not believe that my grade is a fair representation of my ability and effort. I earned a grade of 53 in the course, but still received an F due to a stipulation regarding passing both the lab and lecture components of the course. This stipulation was waived before and then reinstated during my final exam; hardly appropriate timing. Please see the attached letter in support of my request. I did my best to keep this at an appropriate length considering the additional documentation.
Thank you,
Luca Pascucci
