New Information: Academic appeal 7609 Amendment

To the Academic Appeal Office, I am once again sorry about my terrible response time/untimely follow up to my initial submission. On April 27th I called the Academic Advising office to discuss the status of the appeal I submitted to drop both MUTH111 and MATH387 late, I was just unsure if appeals could still be accepted after the semester had ended. I was able to get an appointment for a video call the next day with Spring Forsberg, about my decision to appeal for a late drop of both MUTH111 and MATH387. She informed me that it was thankfully possible to drop courses after the current semester has ended, as well as previous semesters. After explaining my situation to Ms. Forsberg, she offered great advice and compassion, suggesting that I add the courses I failed last semester, (MATH384 & STAT268) to the appeal to late drop. She also recommended that if I heard back from my professor for MUSC105 about getting an incomplete and if it was not feasible, that I add MUSC105 to the late drop appeal as well. After communicating with my professor for MUSC105, and discussing the benefits/drawbacks to proceeding with an incomplete in that course, I would also like to add MUSC 105 to the list of late drop courses if that is doable. Professor Burry explained that even with an incomplete I will not get the grade I hope I am capable of, and it would likely turn into another failure on my transcript. I think this is the best decision as I am intending to commit to working on my coping habits and improving my physical/mental health over the next couple of months, so I can retake these classes when I am feeling well enough to succeed. Thank you very much for reading this long addendum as well as my original submission, and I apologize about how long it has taken me to relay all this information. I appreciate the email your office sent me to follow up and I am grateful to belong to a school that is so accommodating and attentive to it¿¿s students.
I hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and well, wishing you a positive and happy week and summer to come
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Heidi Landon
