Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing my CISC101 grade from fall 2020. I had already taken the course and was hoping to obtain a higher grade this time around, but failed the course because I did not answer the 4 exam questions according to how the professor wanted them answered. I found this frustrating because I got 80s and 90s on all my assignments, and got great feedback from the TAs saying they were done properly, but the coding on the exam was marked differently because it was not the TAs marking. This is frustrating because as a student we expect that if we are getting good grades and feedback that means we're on the right track.. Additionally, the exam was only 4 questions and if you fail the exam you fail the course, which is not how the course is traditionally run, and not how the exam is normally structured. I am not expecting a change in grade, but a removal of the F from my transcript is my goal as I am applying to grad schools and this drops my GPA significantly.
