Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing to drop PSYC 100 (Fall/Winter 2020/21).
I did not take the PSYC100 exam on December 10th, 2020. I was unable to take the exam due to an emergency illness. I was still in the hospital on 12.11 due to isolation and observation (I am a high-temperature acute gastroenteritis, so according to Covid- According to 19, I had to stay in the hospital for a nucleic acid test.) Therefore, I cannot take the test normally. Then I emailed my professor and she recommended that I submit documentation to the Arts and Science considerations portal for academic consideration so that I can be considered for the deferred exam. The professor said that it will be between January 13-16, 2020 to hold make-up exams. I took the make-up test, but for some reason, the professor said that she could not see the traces of my test on the Internet, but I made sure that I took the test through the onQ link on the day of the make-up test. So I don¿¿t have any scores on the Dec exam. This has seriously affected my GPA. I hope I can drop this course and take PYSYC100 again in the 2021 Fall classes. I am confident that if you give me this opportunity, I will achieve excellent results in the following studies. Thank you very much
