Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello and good afternoon to whoever this may concern,

I would like to officially drop the MUSC 171 course from my transcript since I was not aware I was in it and had not participated in this class the entire course. I have not payed for it and was unaware that they would still include me in the class. I realized much too late that even without paying I was still a part of this class.
I tried to unenroll on SOLUS but it did not let me and I assumed I was not in (since I could not drop it). I should have reached out sooner, however, as I am about to explain, my mental health has not been tip-top as of late.
If you would like to know the reason I decided to not take this course in the first place (ie, why I never decided to pay for it and thought I was taken out already) I was going through a pretty long depressive episode. I didn't feel like I could perform to my best ability in this course, and decided that I didn't want my mental health to poorly affect my grade.

If I could get any help in removing this course from my record I would truly, truly appreciate it.
