Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing with the request that I be able to drop my summer elective course MUSC 171 without academic penalty. Unfortunately, I suffered a medical incident at the end of March 2021 and have been recovering since. This incident has caused intense physical and psychological stress making it difficult for me to keep up with my studies. I have been working closely with my doctor since March and he has advised me to lighten my course load in order to help with recovery. Taking his advice I ask that I be granted the ability to drop MUSC 171 without academic penalty. If I am granted this appeal I plan to continue with my core course of PSYC 251 throughout the summer at a more manageable pace. I am hoping to be back in full time studies for the fall semester. I have attached a letter from my doctor, Dr. Sean Blaine. Please let me know if you need any more information from me.
Thank you.
