Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I would like to appeal to waive the 21 day appeal deadline for three courses: STAT 268 (Fall 2014), MATH 221 (Fall 2014), and MATH 121 (Summer 2014). I did not submit an appeal for MATH 121 within the 21 day period because I was given an unofficial extension for this course by my professor. I was told that I had until the end of December 2014 to complete this course. If it was possible for me to have submitted an appeal for MATH 121 within the Fall term deadline, I would not have been able to do so because of medical reasons. I was also unable to submit an appeal within 21 days for the other two courses due to medical reasons.

Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Over the past few years I have suffered from several health issues, making me unable to complete these courses. Last year I was ill with a severe eating disorder and needed to drop the courses I was taking to be admitted to a healthcare facility in Manitoba. During this year I was unable to function, and had a very difficult time concentrating. This illness was clearly out of my control, but I have been doing everything I can to recover. I would like to withdraw from the three remaining courses that I was enrolled in. I am much more healthy now, but am not planning on returning to my studies.
