Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am applying for an aegrotat standing because I have completed at least 60 of the course work and I do believe I have met the learning outcomes. I have not been able to complete all of the course work because I am still learning to work through my illness. I have been going to counselling with Solita, and occupational therapy with Morgan Ticehurst an OC student through Queen's, as well as adapting to medication recommended by both my family doctor and approved of by a Queen's doctor. It got worse during the winter term in which I was unable to go to class, and complete the work, I even had to drop a few of my courses due to my illness. I was able to get an incomplete grade and some extra time to complete the course work, but I still was unable to complete all of the work. I would say that the pandemic has also been a factor, but I do not think it is as effective because everyone is currently suffering through the consequences of lockdown. I do however think that the pandemic has exasperated the symptoms of the illness.

I need to get at least a C+ in order to take upper year history courses necessary for my degree.
