Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,

I am Xianzhi Zhang and I major in Geography, and my Queen??s student ID is 20148117. I plan to take fall-session courses abroad in at a Spanish university named Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia (UCAM) in the Fall 2021.

I have some reasons why I choose to take courses at another institution in my fourth year and transfer the credits back to Queen??s. Firstly, after completing some courses in my spare time in the Fall 2021, I will expedite my graduation from the program in the Winter 2022. Secondly, I have to graduate before the Summer 2022 in order to apply for my master??s degree studies, since the program only deals with the application for the Fall semester, otherwise, I have to wait another full year. I need time to apply for my master??s degree offer, so it??s best for me to graduate before the Summer 2022. That??s why I need to have a tight timeline to take fall-session courses while studying at Queen??s.

The courses I??m planning to take at UCAM are:
13947 Energy Resources and Environment (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 319 Contemporary Energy Resources)
13949 Medical Geography (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 339 Medical Geography)
13956 Cities and Gender (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 352 Gender and the City)
13954 GIS Application Design and Customization (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 348 Application Design and Customization in GIS)
14105 Global Environmental Change (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 306 Natural Environmental Change)
11942 Environmental and Resource Economics (equivalent to Queen??s GPHY 336 Geography, the Environment and Human Health)

I will get a written permission from my department and appeal to the Associate Dean (Studies). Hopefully you may take time out of your busy schedule to kindly grant me a Letter of Permission.
