Petition Letter: As a student in global development studies, there is no better way to learn about the world than to experience it. I am applying for an International letter of permission to study at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona during winter term 2022. This experience abroad is not only an amazing academic opportunity due to their vast selection of DEVS equivalent courses but also an amazing opportunity for personal growth. This opportunity to study in Barcelona will allow me to experience a culture different from my own and force me to step out of my comfort zone. I have always been passionate about seeing the world and a semester abroad is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: In order to complete my major requirements, I will be completing the mandatory DEVS 300 in the spring of 2021. The courses I take abroad will count towards the units needed for graduation. I plan to study at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona for one semester (winter 2022). After this semester I will return to Queens for my 4th year and complete my degree. UPF has numerous DEVS equivalent courses such as:
