Petition Letter: Good morning,
I hope all is well. I am reaching out regarding my incomplete remaining courses. Around the beginning of my final year of studies (Fall 2020), I began a psychological assessment and received a diagnosis of ADHD. Since being diagnosed, I have experienced significant difficulties in both my personal and academic endeavours. Additionally, I began trialling various medications for my mental health issues, however, this experience has been much more challenging than anticipated. I have put school and work on the back burner in the past while because my mental and physical health has been suffering.
Further, the pandemic has also had quite an impact on my well-being. I moved back home for the first time since leaving for University for mental and financial reasons. Unfortunately, all the changes sent me into a downward spiral where I was not taking care of myself for months. I am still picking up the pieces and attempting to recover. I have also been going through the process for OSAP appeals due to my incomplete classes and new disability status which has also proven to be quite stressful.
I apologize for the delay in the appeal. Since the semester has started, I have been extremely overwhelmed with the transition back to campus.
