Petition Letter: Queen's Faculty of Arts & Science,
This upcoming Term (W22), I intend to take 15.0 credits at Yukon University's Whitehorse Campus, in the Yukon Territory. In place of a term abroad, I am opting to take a term at YukonU to diversify my degree program here at Queen's, and learn more about Indigenous issues/perspectives in Canada. Having already spoken with the head of the Global Development Studies Department, I have been advised that the department is happy to entertain the courses I have selected for the W22 Term with YukonU - once the courses are approved by the Registrar's Office. Although I am a Politics Minor, I will not be taking any POLS credits while away, and all 15.0 credits are to contribute to my DEVS major. For the last 6-months, I have been planning this term at YukonU, and have compiled a list of courses I plan on taking while away. These have already been submitted to the proper Queen's LoP individuals.
This letter of appeal is seeking for the University's support in my efforts to learn more about Indigenous/Circumpolar issues and perspectives in Canada, in the form of 15.0 credits for the W22 Term.YukonU is a unique institution, which is able to offer me specified courses - ones which will augment my studies here at Queen's in a unique way. After the conclusion of the W22 Term, I intend to return to Queen's for the final year of my BAH program - as specified by an LoP.
I hope that Queen'sU supports me for the upcoming W22 Term, and grants my LoP.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: After my upcoming W22 Term at YukonU, I will return to Queen's for my final year of studies. While away, I will be enrolled in the DEVS department's DEVS420 course, which will ensure my regular reflection and engagement with DEVS-related ideas here at Queen's. Upon my return to Queen's, I will complete my final year with a diverse and specialized array of knowledge, allowing me to better ground myself in the realities of Canadian and International Development. I am appealing to take 15.0 credits while away at YukonU so that I stay on-track to graduate in the Spring of 2023. My intention is to continue to take a full course load while away at YukonU, and when I return to Queen's for my fourth year.
Thank you for taking the time to read over my appeal, and I hope that Queen's is willing to support me in my endeavours.
