Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am submitting an appeal to waive the drop date for MATH 126. I am submitting this appeal because throughout the duration of the course, I have been undergoing radiation therapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma. I underwent radiation during late October to early November fo a 3 week time period. Radiation causes side affects including fatigue, lack or energy and appetite, and other physical and mental challenges that make it harder to succeed academically.

I am choosing MATH 126 specifically as it is the course that I have had the most trouble in during my time of treatment, and it is not required for any of my anticipated majors. Additionally, the course requires a lot of time commitment that I was unable to have during and post treatment due to side affects
