Petition Letter: Hello,
My Name is Sawsan Mohammed. I am appealing to drop GPHY 227. I am appealing to drop the course due to extenuating circumstances beyond my personal control, from my mental illness. I have been struggling with suicidality since the midterms and I am unable to properly engage with course work due to my mental illness. I understand that it is a relatively late appeal but it took a bit for me to acquire the proper paperwork.
Why this course only: It is because I have been able to catch up with the material of the other courses, and I have been more communicative regarding my condition. It is also because this course could be offered later on in my educational career and is more so an elective. It is the first course that I can come up with that I can't see myself completing the unfinished course material in a timely manner. And because it is the most flexible part of my degree. I have mostly been focusing on maintaining attendance in my full year courses and courses related to my HIST POLS medial. I am planning to take a lighter course load during the winter term.
