Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,

I just learned that I was in enrolled in ENIN 301 for the 2021 fall term. I did not expect this as it is not a course that has shown up on my Fall 2021 class schedule the whole year. Attached you will find my 2021 fall schedule on ONQ. I am requesting a backdate dropout so there is no academic penalty/financial penalty and I would like this removed from my transcript and not be shown as ??DR?.

I spoke with Sam in the registrar??s office who has been very helpful, and she will be sending you some back up information to show that I have not participated or attended in any classes or evaluations since the start of the course.

Ultimately I was looking for courses to add/drop at the beginning of the semester, but as it didn??t show up on my schedule and calendar I had no idea that I was still enrolled. I understand the enrolling has been an error on my part, but i have been living on campus and have no need to enroll in a distance studies course as well as a 6th course. Im not sure how this error happened. I only found out about this recently and if I knew earlier I would have dropped out before the academic deadline.

I am a B+ student and i take my academic studies seriously, and I do not want this to affect me in any way. I will definitely be more cautious when adding courses to my cart in the future.


Please let me know if there is anything else I need to provide you to get this rectified.
