Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is Yuchen Sun, a third-year biochemistry student. I am writing to respectfully request consideration of appeal for dropping 2 of my fall term courses. I really enjoy the study at Queen??s university, especially I found that my major is really interesting. However, it is sometimes very hard for me as an international student to memorize terms and read through the lab instructions. What makes me more frustrated was that I was tested positive on COVID-19, which made me missed over two weeks of in-person lectures and labs. In the beginning of my self-isolation period, I spentmost of my time trying to look for a new place to live as well as figure out how do I get food.On top of that, my anxiety issue for academics got worse since I have to catch up on school work. Therefore, even though I tried my best on my finals, I did not get a score that I wanted.
