Petition Letter: Dear Arts and Science Department,
My name is Brandon Macpherson and I am a correspondence student at Queens. I have been taking ENGL 259 online while pursuing an acting career in Toronto in an attempt to finish of my BA in philosophy. I would like to appeal to drop ENGL 259 as I have been booked on two feature films and a TV pilot starting this week that will take me out of the country and unable to complete the course due to an ever changing work schedule. It was impossible to predict that my schedule would have filled up so quickly and due to my field of work, I have minimal time available to complete the work assigned for the rest of the term. To stay in the course would be a poor example of the quality of academia that I am capable of and therefore you would like to be removed from the course. I have only 3 courses left to take at Queen's University and would very much like to continue in finishing my degree during the summer and spring months without having to take a year off because of academic probation. More then anything I would love to continue my acting career as it begins to take off while continuing to pursue a Queen's BA and becoming a Queen's University Graduate.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Brandon Macpherson
