Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Appeal Letter: I am appealing the Associate Dean's decision to deny my appeal to drop STAT263 (Fall 2021) after the academic deadline. I acknowledge that it was my responsibility to drop STAT 263. However, it was my first time using Solus and I didn't recognize the fact that I was able to drop a course on my own. STAT 263 is the course that I already took in high school. I've been truly regretting that I should have read the course description carefully and read the appeal decision thoroughly. I went to see a doctor at that time when I received the decision and was having such a hard time adapting to the new environment. From the last experience, I learned that I have to choose courses more carefully so that I won't repeat the same mistake in the future. I also changed my reading habit when I received an important email. I will make sure that I will be responsible for my own decision on course selection. I will appreciate it from the heart if an appeal to drop STAT 263 can be granted again. Thank you for your consideration.
