Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
My name is Seanisa Seepersad and I am currently enrolled in the arts and sciences program. I am only taking one course at this moment, however I find myself struggling more than usual as I recently became a new mother. I was working as a registered practical nurse (RPN) in long term care during the beginning of the pandemic. However, over the last year or so, I can genuinely say that I have been experiencing quite a lot of anxiety related to the pandemic which has only worsened my symptoms. Recently I find myself feeling quite low and having poor motivation, and overall having a lot of anxiety. I have been in denial for quite some time regarding my symptoms and have recently been treated for post partum depression. I wish to drop this course and focus my attention on getting better and re-enroll in the summer. I have been in contact with my family doctor and I am currently seeking treatment.
