Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: For the beginning of the Winter term, I was located in Wellington Florida where I was working with horses. It was an intense job but very rewarding and I was working to keep up with my two classes which were remote. However, in the first week of February, I had a pretty bad fall from my horse (I also have a video of it as proof) and was concussed. I got checked by my trainer who has been trained to check for concussions but I could certainly not afford a 1000+ USD bill from the ER just for a simple check up. This accident made me fall behind in my DEVS 210 class and more importantly, I cannot return to Kingston for the rest of the term for many reasons, including my head injury. My professor told me she can no longer accommodate me in the class because I will not be there in person, which I totally understand. I would like for DEVS 210 to be removed from my transcript as I am no longer an active student in the class. I would also like a partial refund for the class if possible because I had no idea I would be asked to leave as a result of not being able to return to Kingston.
