Petition Letter

Petition Letter: My student visa has expired on December 1st when I was taking 4 courses in person, but due to COVID all my final exams were online, or final papers so there wasn??t a big problem and I applied for the new student visa around November 4. The university was also fully online until the beginning of March, and I never thought my student visa renewal would take this long. While talking to my professor I thought I missed one in-person exam and probably would be back by the next one, but I ended up missing all of them due to my visa not arriving and thus not being able to physically enter the country. I have asked for alternative solutions which the professor could provide but he told me he couldn??t do much more If I can??t be there for the final. The final was on the 19th of April, but my student visa still hasn??t arrived and thus I couldn't come to Canada to enter my final. I contacted my professor right away I learned that I couldn??t fly before the final and asked whom to contact. I was always aiming to fly the next day as soon as I got the students visa since it is my fifth year here and I already renewed at least 4 student visas in Canada, and it never took this long. Currently, I am on academic probation and taking 5 courses and just failing a course since I couldn??t attend the final, which is affecting me very negatively. Luckily all my other 4 courses' finals were online, and/or papers, if they were also in-person exams I would have had to apply to drop them.

Attached below there are scanned pictures of my student visa and about when it has expired, when I have applied for the new one and my conversation with my professor whom I have spoken thought the process and helped me when I realized I couldn??t be there for my first in-person exam. Also, there is an attached form of my father contacting the consulate around March 8th and asking kindly about the visa situation and mentioning that my finals are starting soon. After a point, it is not up to me and if my visa even arrived on the 17th of April, I would have been there to do my final. I was doing very well in the course before but just the in-person exams are most of the course, and since I can??t do them due to my visa problem, I would like to drop my ECON391 course.
